Organiser: Miri Pickleball Association The Tournament (22nd and 23rd July 2022) 8am to 8pm KRP Indoor Hall Registration Fee: RM20 per person, RM 10 for each Subsequent Entry This divisional level tournament is open to all members of public residing in Miri. The organising committee or the sponsors have the right to make changes, postpone or cancel the tournament without prior notice and will not be responsible for any cost incurred to the participants. In the event the tournament is cancelled the registration fees shall be refunded. All participants must sign the Informed Consent, Release and Indemnity form before playing for the tournament.
19+ Singles (18 Years Old & Below, 19 Years Old and Above, 50 Years Old and Above) - Men Singles (22nd July 2022) - Women Singles (22nd July 2022) 19+ Doubles (18 Years Old & Below, 19 Years Old and Above, 50 Years Old and Above) - Men Doubles (22nd July 2022) - Women Doubles (23rd July 2022) - Mixed Doubles (23rd July 2022) Players aged 18 and below can participate in the 19+ divisions with subject to organiser’s approval and parents’ consent.
Tournament Format: Combined Draw/Round Robin/Double Elimination (Subjected to the number of entries per Division) Scoring Format: Round Robin Stage 1 Game only with 11 Points. No Deuce and Time Outs. Change side after 6 points Elimination Stage 1 Game only with 15 points. No Deuce and Time Outs. Change side after 8 points.

I fully understand and also confirm herewith that I am physically and mentally fit enough to compete at this event. My physical and mental condition was either verified by a medical doctor or at least proved during my previous sport activities, such as, but not limited to, playing various sports such as tennis, racquetball, squash, pickleball or any other aerobic sport). Herewith I confirm that I am aware of my full responsibility for all and any risks connected to any potential injury or damage that can happen to me while competing at this event. I explicitly confirm, that by my electronic signature I will not pursue any claim, damages, present and future rights of action which may be related to my participation in this event. I am also explicitly and specifically releasing and discharging myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and organizers of this event. Furthermore, I am also releasing the facility, its members, employees, sponsors and anyone who would be ever associated or connected to this event.
WAIVER/RELEASE FOR COMMUNICABLE DISEASES INCLUDING COVID-19
ASSUMPTION OF RISK / WAIVER OF LIABILITY / INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of being allowed to participate in this tournament, by completing my registration, I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and,
2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases. If, however, I observe any unusual or significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SS Pickleball llc their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("RELEASEES"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
