Join us at the 4th edition of the Pickleball Amsterdam Open! 11 years ago pickleball in the Netherlands was first played in Amsterdam. Pickleball Amsterdam is the first pickleball club of our country and recently became the biggest club of the Netherlands again. After the succes of last years edition, where we re-organized the Amsterdam Open after a gap of multiple years, we want to keep our tournament on the Dutch pickleball calendar. Last year we had just over a 100 participants. Will you be part of this years edition? Register yourself! We are excited to offer a full day of pickleball, for all levels. We will play mens doubles, womens doubles and mixed doubles. If you can't find a doubles/mixed partner, you can sign up and we will (try) to find one for you. Paying your registration fees through a Tikkie, will save us some Paypal fee. (Rough) schedule (depending on number of participants): 09.00 - Doors open, warm-up 09.45 - Introducing tournament 10.00 - Start Men's Doubles and Women's Doubles. 14.00 - Medal ceremony 15.00 - Start Mixed Doubles (estimated) 19.30 - Medal ceremony 20.00 - Doors close 20.00 - Have a drink at a nearby bar!!
The Amsterdam Open 2024 will be held in Sportcentrum de Pijp, where 12 indoor courts are available to play on + enough room to watch and support during the games. We will be playing on badminton courts with taped kitchen lines. It is the same location as the Amsterdam Open 2023. Address: Lizzy Ansinghstraat 88, 1072 RD Amsterdam Since our location is quite central in the city, parking close to the venue will be difficult (but not impossible). We would advice players from the Netherlands to come by public transport, since it is only a small walk from metrostation De Pijp, which is easily reachable from Amsterdam Central Station. If you are coming by car, I would advice you to park for example at the P+R Noord (Nieuwe Leeuwarderweg Afslag S116, 1022 BP Amsterdam) and then use the metro to De Pijp. This will save you a lot of parking costs.

Before September 21st: full refund (minus Paypal fee) Before September 28th: half refund (minus Paypal fee) After September 28th: no refund Categories: - Men's and Women's Doubles 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.0+ (OPEN) - Mixed Doubles 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0+ (OPEN) It is likely that the 4.0 and OPEN division will be combined. Games will be played first to 11 points, with a 1 point difference to win. So an 11-10 win is possible. Semi finals will be played if there is more than 1 group in a category. Bronze medal games will always be played. You will always at least play 4 games per category. The tournament director reserves the right to combine categories if there are an insufficient number of entries.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in this tournament, by completing my registration, I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and,
2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases. If, however, I observe any unusual or significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SS Pickleball llc their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("RELEASEES"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
