Dear Pickleball players,
now all divisions have start and courts assigned.
Registration opens on both days at 8am, games start mostly at 9am. On Saturday registration for the afternoon games is open till 1.30pm.
Please be aware that times and courts may change due to injuries or sickness, we try to minimize any changes.
Therefore, please check on Friday night of any last minute changes.
We wish you save travel and a great tournament together, keep on dinking.

Hallo liebe Pickler,
mittlerweile haben wir die Spiele aller Divisionen terminiert.
Die Registrierung ist an beiden Tagen von 08:00 geöffnet, die ersten Divisions beginnen jeweils um 09:00. Am Samstag schließt die Registrierung um 13:30.
Bitte beachtet, dass sich die Zeiten durch Verletzungen, oä verschieben können. Wir bemühen uns das zu verhindern, können es aber letztendlich nicht ausschließen.
Deshalb die dringende Bitte an Euch, dass Ihr am Freitagabend nochmal schaut, wann Eure Spiele auf welchem Court stattfinden.

We are excited to see you soon at our Burgholzhausen International Open (“BIO”) Tournament powered by Skechers. Please read the following specifics carefully for your tournament:
Registration: Please arrive at 8am for registration and your 2-day raffle ticket. Please arrive latest at 8.30am for the opening remarks and group picture, Game Start is at 9am. If you play in the afternoon there will be a 2nd Welcome announcement.
Divisional Start Times and Modus: Coming early next week, thanks for your patience, please ensure to check on Friday March 14 for the most recent updates on www.pickleball.global
Game Ball: RED Franklin X-40 outdoor, RED clothes & shoes, and usage of red paddle is NOT allowed
Fair Games: We are asking you to use a Global Pickleball approved paddle, you can check under
https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/
In case an unapproved paddle is used the tournament director will ask you to use an eligible one, limited number of spare paddles for lend are available.
Continuous Play: As every year we aim to stick with the (to be) published times/courts, to achieve an “ontime” game play, we need your help and stay close to your courts, as short notice time/court changes maybe adopted to optimize the overall tournament flow. Thanks!

Raffle: Each player will receive in their welcome bag a Raffle ticket, which is valid for BOTH days, please keep during the weekend for both raffle events during Saturday midday and Sunday medal ceremony
Referees: The “BIO” is a Level 2 referee certification tournament. A credentialed referee will be present at all Semi-final, 3rd place, and Finals and some matches in the group phase.
Key rule: Wait for the referee to call the score before starting each point.

Spielball: Franklin X-40 Outdoor (ROT). Rote Kleidung, rote Schuhe und rote Paddles sind NICHT erlaubt.
Fair Play: Bitte verwendet ein von Global Pickleball zugelassenes Paddle. Die Liste findet ihr hier: https://equipment.usapickleball.org/paddle-list/.
Falls ein nicht zugelassenes Paddle benutzt wird, wird der Turnierdirektor euch bitten, ein geeignetes Paddle zu verwenden.
Es gibt eine begrenzte Anzahl an Ersatz-Paddles zum Ausleihen.
Kontinuierliches Spiel: Wie jedes Jahr möchten wir uns an die veröffentlichten Spielzeiten und Plätze halten. Damit das Turnier pünktlich und reibungslos abläuft, bitten wir euch, in der Nähe eurer Plätze zu bleiben. Kurzfristige Änderungen von Spielzeiten oder Plätzen können vorgenommen werden, um den Turnierablauf zu optimieren. Danke für eure Mithilfe!

Tombola: Jeder Spieler erhält in der Welcome Bag ein Tombola-Ticket, das für beide Tage gültig ist. Bitte bewahrt es das ganze Wochenende über auf, da die Verlosungen am Samstagmittag und während der Siegerehrung am Sonntag stattfinden.
Schiedsrichter: Das „BIO“ ist ein Level-2-Schiedsrichter-Zertifizierungsturnier. Ein zertifizierter Schiedsrichter wird bei allen Halbfinals, Spielen um Platz 3 und Finals sowie bei einigen Gruppenspielen anwesend sein.
Wichtige Regel: Wartet immer, bis der Schiedsrichter den Punktestand aufruft, bevor ihr weiterspielt.
Für unsere deutschen Spieler: Das „BIO“ ist ein Qualifikationsturnier für die Deutsche Meisterschaft. Details dazu findet ihr beim Deutschen Pickleball Verband (DPV):

Tournament director has the discretion to combine categories in the event of too few entries and also to move players between categories and their decision is final.
Durch die elektronische Unterschrift bei der Registrierung wird Folgendes anerkannt: - Die Anmeldegebühr wird bei Absagen, die nach Schließen der Registrierung erfolgen, nicht erstattet. - Der Turnierdirektor hat das Recht Divisions bei zu wenigen Anmeldungen zusammenzulegen und Spieler*innen zwischen Divisions zu verschieben. Diese Entscheidungen sind final. - Den aktuellen Vorgaben zum Umgang mit COVID19 ist Folge zu leisten. - Während des Events werden Fotos und Videoaufzeichnungen gemacht. Der anschließenden Nutzung dieser Aufnahmen in off-line und online-Medien wird hiermit zugestimmt.
