We are so delighted to be able to host the Irish nationals in 2023, we hope you are excited to come along and play! This year's Irish Nationals will be held in Multyfarnham Community Centre in Multyfarnham, Co.Westmeath (N91 AX5A). We are all really looking forward to the return of the ‘Pickleball Ireland' Irish Open in June 2023 and the ‘Nationals’ are a great opportunity to prepare for the Open by competing with players of all levels within the country! ENTRY FEE: Registration + first event - €30 Additional event - €10 OFFICIAL BALL OF THE IRISH NATIONALS: Penn 26 indoor (red)
We are running events from Saturday 25th March to Sunday 26th March. Saturday 25th March - Men's Doubles (all divisions) - Ladies' Doubles (all divisions) Sunday 26th March - Mixed Doubles (all divisions) • All events will be a round robin followed by single elimination knockout in the afternoon. • All players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games per event they enter. • The tournament director reserves the right to combine categories to best suit demand. • There are limited places available in each category. • After 3 weeks of registration being open we will evaluate number of registrations in each category. • We may adjust the number of registrations for categories with the highest demand. • While registering, if you do not yet have a partner, please select the 'partner wanted’ option and all efforts will be made to assign you a partner.
Venue Location This year's Irish Nationals will be held in Multyfarnham Community Centre in Multyfarnham, Co.Westmeath (N91 AX5A) There are numerous B&B's in Multyfarnham and the venue is only 15 minutes from Mullingar. There are 10 hotels within 25 minutes of the venue.
By signing the electronic signature on the registration form, you agree to the following: • All participants must be over 18 and residents of the island of Ireland. • Cancellation and refund requests must be made by 11:59pm on March 4th 2023 • Registration fees (€20) are non-refundable but event fees (€10) will be refunded up until March 4th. • Tournament director has the discretion to combine categories in the event of too few entries and also to move players between categories. • Agree to follow any Covid-19 related requirements • The tournament will adhere to the USAPA rules and guidelines regarding player etiquette and all players are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. • Tournament Director’s decision will be final. • Please note that players are only able to enter one category per event, i.e. a player cannot enter men's doubles 2.5 AND men's doubles 3.0 Tournament Directors: Colin Sheridan and Cassandra Mooney
By submitting your entry you hereby acknowledge the following: 1. Your participation in an event is competitive and like all sports has a risk of physical injury and you fully accept responsibility for all such risks as a condition of participation. 2. You understand and accept that Multyfarnham Community Centre and the event organizers/owners do not accept any liability of any sort for bodily injury, illness or death sustained to or by you or loss or damage to any of your possessions or goods whatsoever and howsoever their loss or damage is caused. 3. Each participant also consents to the recording of his/her voice, image and likeness captured by any means including cameras/telephones/mobile devices while present in, at or about the event and the transmission of these images/voices in perpetuity by the organiser free of charge, by any means and waives all moral and legal rights in and to any recordings of sound made or images taken within the Tournament venue. My physical and mental condition was either verified by a medical doctor or at least proved during my previous sport activities, such as, but not limited to, playing various sports such as tennis, racquetball, squash, pickleball or any other aerobic sport). Herewith I confirm that I am aware of my full responsibility for all and any risks connected to any potential injury or damage that can happen to me while competing at this event. I explicitly confirm, that by my electronic signature I will not pursue any claim, damages, present and future rights of action which may be related to my participation in this event. I am also explicitly and specifically releasing and discharging myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and organizers of this event. Furthermore, I am also releasing the facility, its members, employees, sponsors and anyone who would be ever associated or connected to this event.
WAIVER/RELEASE FOR COMMUNICABLE DISEASES INCLUDING COVID-19
ASSUMPTION OF RISK / WAIVER OF LIABILITY / INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of being allowed to participate in this tournament, by completing my registration, I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and,
2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases. If, however, I observe any unusual or significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SS Pickleball llc their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("RELEASEES"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
