Welcome to The Hague's first open since 2019! We're so excited to offer you another fun one-day pickleball competition.
Please select your preferred playing level when registering. Three doubles events are available: men's, women's and mixed. Registration takes place on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each division is a round robin tournament, with levels from 3.0 to 5.0, with a 4-team elimination stage for the upper level. The precise schedule will be made known closer to the date, once the number of participants is known.
Games will be played to 11 points, with the victors requiring two clear points.
IFP rules will apply, i.e. drop serves are legal, players cannot use the paddle to add spin, and there are no let serves.
We reserve the right to combine levels, given the available court capacity and registration level distribution, in order to ensure everyone can play at least 5 games. Similarly, if it becomes clear that a particular level risks becoming oversubscribed, we may decide to close registration for that particular level to ensure quality of play. Given our time and capacity limits, we will likely end up with a maximum of three levels for each event, depending on sign-ups.
Refunds will be available up until the registration closing date, subject to a €5 admininstration fee.
We'll be using the Yoorna YY26, which while harder than the Jugs, is still quite a light ball compared to say, the Onix Fuse. It's still very much an easy-going ball for indoor surfaces.
The Hague Open 2022 will take place in the city's impressive, brand new Sportcampus Zuiderpark, spanning two nine-court halls.

Apart from having fun playing pickleball, The Hague city is a must visit too. You might know The Hague for being the home of the Dutch Government, or for its International Criminal Court.
It may then surprise you to learn that The Hague is the largest city by the sea in the Netherlands, with 11 kilometres of wide sandy beaches and nature reserves surrounding the Scheveningen beachfront, featuring a pier, cosy beach pavilions, surf schools and beach volleyball.
In addition, the city features the Royal Palace, the Peace Palace, the Madurodam theme park, plus numerous excellent museums and art galleries. Travelling around the city and coast is easy by bike, tram or bus, and given its location, it's easy to spend a few hours in Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Delft too.

My physical and mental condition was either verified by a medical doctor or at least proved during my previous sport activities, such as, but not limited to, playing various sports such as tennis, racquetball, squash, pickleball or any other aerobic sport). Herewith I confirm that I am aware of my full responsibility for all and any risks connected to any potential injury or damage that can happen to me while competing at this event. I explicitly confirm, that by my electronic signature I will not pursue any claim, damages, present and future rights of action which may be related to my participation in this event. I am also explicitly and specifically releasing and discharging myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and organizers of this event. Furthermore, I am also releasing the facility, its members, employees, sponsors and anyone who would be ever associated or connected to this event.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK / WAIVER OF LIABILITY / INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of being allowed to participate in this tournament, by completing my registration, I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and,
2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases. If, however, I observe any unusual or significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SS Pickleball llc their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("RELEASEES"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
