Registration and Help

Welcome to The Hague Open 2023! We're so excited to offer you another fun one-day pickleball competition.

Please select your preferred playing level when registering. Three doubles events are available: men's, women's and mixed. Registration takes place on a first-come, first-served basis.

We will limit the number of participants to ~90, to ensure a smooth play schedule for everyone. After registration closes, we will match remaining non-partnered players as best we can. If you're having any difficulties linking up with your partner please let us know and we'll manually take care of it.

For general enquiries and assistance, please email us at:

We'll see you then!
-Krishna, Iwan and Chris.

The Schedule and Rules

Each division is a round robin tournament, with three level divisions: up to 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+ (open to all). The precise schedule will be made known closer to the date, once the number of participants is known, but we plan to start at 10am.

Games will be played to 11 points, with the victors requiring two clear points.

IFP rules will apply, i.e. drop serves are legal, players cannot pre-spin the ball with their paddle or fingers before serving, and there are no let serves.

We reserve the right to combine levels, given the available court capacity and registration level distribution, in order to ensure everyone can play at least 5 games. Similarly, if it becomes clear that a particular level risks becoming oversubscribed, we may decide to close registration for that particular level to ensure quality of play.

Refunds will be available up until the registration closing date, subject to a €5 admininstration fee.

The Ball

Gamma photon indoor.

The Venue

The Hague Open 2023 will take place in the city's modern and impressive Sportcampus Zuiderpark, spanning two nine-court halls. We'll be playing on the badminton courts in hall B, with taped kitchen lines. The hall is divided into three sections, with curtain dividers, each section containing three courts.

We would love to have you join us for dinner after the tournament! We have made arrangements with a local restaurant just a short 10-minute walk from the venue, but we do need to have an accurate guest count for the restaurant. Please fill in this short form if you would like to attend, with your name, total number of guests (including yourself), and any dietary preferences:

The Hague

Apart from having fun playing pickleball, The Hague city is a must visit too. You might know The Hague for being the home of the Dutch Government, or for its International Criminal Court.

It may then surprise you to learn that The Hague is the largest city by the sea in the Netherlands, with 11 kilometres of wide sandy beaches and nature reserves surrounding the Scheveningen beachfront, featuring a pier, cosy beach pavilions, surf schools and beach volleyball.

In addition, the city features the Royal Palace, the Peace Palace, the Madurodam theme park, plus numerous excellent museums and art galleries. Travelling around the city and coast is easy by bike, tram or bus, and given its location, it's easy to spend a few hours in Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Delft too.
