Dear All, We happy to announce that we have confirmed the dates and venue to complete the 2020 Hong Kong Pickleball Open. Please see below for the dates and details on the tournament. Registration will be opened until September 2, 2021. Cost: $230 HKD per person per event. For changes or entry to the event, please provide name, Pickleball Global ID number (if you don’t have this, please register for a free account at https://pickleball.global), email, phone number, entry fee (via PayMe or FPS to 60766733) to 60766733. Location: Chinese Y.M.C.A. Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village. No. 2, On Chun Street, Ma On Shan, Shatin, N.T. The Hong Kong Pickleball Open Championship Team.
September 16, 2021 – 6:15PM – 10:45PM with 6 Courts Men’s 40+ Doubles Ladies 40+ Doubles Ladies Open Doubles September 18, 2021 – 6:15PM – 10:45PM with 4 Courts Men’s Open Doubles September 19, 2021 – 6:15PM – 10:45PM with 6 Courts Mixed 40+ Doubles Mixed Open Doubles Please note if any matches are affected by rain delay and cannot be completed on the date of the event it will be played the following week on the same day
1. Prizes will be given to all medalist and there will be a grand prize of $1000 HKD for the winning team of each event. 2. Tournament will be held on outdoor tennis courts using Penn 40 outdoor balls. 3. Please note that anyone age above 15+ are welcome to join the Open category. If you are below 15 but have pickleball tournament experience, you may be considered. 4. Ladies may enter for both 40+ and Ladies Open Doubles if they wish. However due to the events being played at the same time we cannot guarantee break between matches if you are playing 2 categories. We will ensure that there is break between matches for the same event. 5. Participants may only enter for one age category for Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles, but are not restricted to playing in only one category for all events. 6. Please note that we will consider to combine draw if entry is less than 10 individuals/pair per category. 7. Intermediate /Advanced players are welcome to play in this tournament. 8. Only medals game will have a referee. 9. Court monitors will assist you for all other matches. 10. You may be requested to sign a standard waiver form on site before the start of tournament. 11. Should there be any dispute, the Head Referee/ Tournament Director reserves the right to the final decision. 12. 2021 Pickleball rules will be used for the tournament. 13. Format will be Round Robin and then elimination matches.

My physical and mental condition was either verified by a medical doctor or at least proved during my previous sport activities, such as, but not limited to, playing various sports such as tennis, racquetball, squash, pickleball or any other aerobic sport). Herewith I confirm that I am aware of my full responsibility for all and any risks connected to any potential injury or damage that can happen to me while competing at this event. I explicitly confirm, that by my electronic signature I will not pursue any claim, damages, present and future rights of action which may be related to my participation in this event. I am also explicitly and specifically releasing and discharging myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and organizers of this event. Furthermore, I am also releasing the facility, its members, employees, sponsors and anyone who would be ever associated or connected to this event.
WAIVER/RELEASE FOR COMMUNICABLE DISEASES INCLUDING COVID-19
ASSUMPTION OF RISK / WAIVER OF LIABILITY / INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of being allowed to participate in this tournament, by completing my registration, I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and,
2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases. If, however, I observe any unusual or significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SS Pickleball llc their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("RELEASEES"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
